Liz joined the RTU team in April of 2023 when she took on Odin as a medical foster. She had just lost her dog of 14 years and was looking to honor her prior pup, Lily. Odin's care required a lot of work: 3 baths a day for his wounds, masking and gloving to administer his meds.
She joined the board as the Chief Financial Officer in Novemb

She joined the board as the Chief Financial Officer in November of 2023 at the request of the founder of RTU. Odin and Liz realized he was home and he was adopted. They love camping and backpacking.

Kendra Okposo is the Chief Legal Officer and Volunteer Coordinator for Rescue the Underdog. She joined RTU in 2022 as a foster, and joined the board in 2023. Kendra has a lifelong passion for caring for and rehabilitating animals in need. She has worked and lived among elephants in Thailand, horses in Portugal, and now Underdogs in the B

Kendra has a lifelong passion for caring for and rehabilitating animals in need. She has worked and lived among elephants in Thailand, horses in Portugal, and now Underdogs in the Bay. Kendra’s professional journey in employment law and change management support Rescue the Underdog’s mission driven focus, proactive strategy planning and consistent support for fosters and the community. Kendra is the proud mom of pup Ferdinand, who she adopted from Rescue the Underdog in 2024.

Victoria's journey with Rescue the Underdog began in 2022 as a foster parent. Her dedication and commitment to the organization's mission quickly stood out, and in 2023 she was invited to join the board.
Her love of rescue dogs began long before that. She adopted her first dog from San Francisco Animal Care and Control in 1995, followed by another in 1997. Since then, every dog she has welcomed into her life has come from a shelter, rescue organization, or been found as a stray.
In 1997, Victoria turned her passion into a career by launching a successful dog walking company in San Francisco. She expanded that vision in 2008 by opening High Tail Hotel, a premier dog daycare and boarding facility. From the very beginning, Victoria was committed to giving back by providing rescue organizations with a safe, caring place for dogs to stay while waiting to find their forever families. Today, High Tail Hotel continues that mission by fostering dogs for Rescue the Underdog alongside its incredible network of dedicated foster families.
Victoria and her husband live in the Bay Area with their two beloved rescue dogs, Joleen and Clyde. They also cherish the memories of the many rescue dogs who have touched their lives over the years—including Lady, Cash, Max, Kelly, Tana, Sweet Pea, Roxy, Kool, and Doozle—each of whom holds a special place in their hearts.
